5 Days Budget Camping Safari Itinerary

Day 1:

You will be picked up from the airport by a Ndovu African Expeditions Limited representative and driven to your accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, take a moment to relax and prepare for the safari ahead. Arusha is a bustling hub and an essential part of safari life in northern Tanzania.

Day 2:

After breakfast, your NDOVU safari guide will collect you and drive you to Tarangire National Park (approx. 2.5 hours). Known for its elephant families and the “river of warthogs,” the park is rich in wildlife: giraffe, bushbuck, hartebeest, lions, and leopards.

Birdwatchers will be thrilled: more breeding bird species are found here than anywhere else in the world! Don’t miss the ancient Baobab trees, some over a thousand years old.

Day 3:

Drive into the cooler highlands of Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Ngorongoro Crater is a “forgotten world” of savannahs, acacia woodlands, lakes, and swamps.

Created by a collapsed volcano 2–3 million years ago, it spans 260 km² and hosts dense populations of large mammals including wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and the endangered black rhino.

Spot over 500 bird species! In the afternoon, continue to the southern Serengeti, entering one of Africa’s most famous
wildlife destinations.

DAY 4:
