Why Choose Tanzania Safari Tours?

Tanzania protects more than a quarter of its land in national parks, game reserves and conservation areas. That gives you huge, wild landscapes with fewer fences and fewer crowds than many other safari countries.

In one trip you can watch the Great Wildebeest Migration in the Serengeti, drive down into the Ngorongoro Crater, and follow elephant herds through the baobab country of Tarangire.

Many guests combine a safari with a Kilimanjaro trek or a few relaxing days on the beaches of Zanzibar.

Types of Tanzania Safari Tours We Offer

  • Private safaris – your own vehicle, guide and schedule, perfect for couples, families and photographers.
  • Mid-range and budget safaris – comfortable lodges or tented camps with excellent value for money.
  • Luxury safaris – premium lodges, exclusive camps and extra time in the best wildlife areas.
  • Camping safaris – sleep under the stars in public or special campsites inside the parks.
  • Safari and beach holidays – finish your game drives with sun and sea in Zanzibar.
  • Kilimanjaro and Meru treks – climb Africa’s highest mountain, then add a short safari.

Popular Parks on Our Tanzania Safari Tours

Serengeti National Park is famous for big cats and the migration. From December to March the herds calve in the southern plains, and from July to October they cross the Mara River in the north.

Ngorongoro Crater is a collapsed volcano filled with wildlife. It is one of the best places in East Africa to see the endangered black rhino.

Tarangire National Park is known for large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees and excellent birding, especially in the dry season.

Lake Manyara National Park offers groundwater forest, flamingos on the lake shore and a treetop walkway.

For a quieter adventure, our team can also plan southern circuit trips to Nyerere (Selous) and Ruaha. Read more in our guide to the best places to visit on a Tanzania safari.

When to Book Tanzania Safari Tours

Tanzania is a year-round destination. The long dry season from June to October gives easy game viewing as animals gather near water. January to March is calving season in the southern Serengeti.

The green season from April to May brings lower prices, fewer vehicles and lush scenery. Our guide to the best time to visit Tanzania for wildlife viewing explains each month in detail.

Popular lodges and camps fill up early for July, August and the festive season, so we recommend booking your Tanzania safari tours four to eight months ahead.

What Is Included in Our Tanzania Safari Tours?

Most of our packages include airport transfers, a private 4×4 safari vehicle with a pop-up roof, a professional English-speaking driver guide, park entrance fees, accommodation, meals as listed, and drinking water during game drives.

Every itinerary can be customised. Tell us how many days you have, the parks you want to see and your preferred level of comfort, and we will send a tailored quote.

Plan Your Trip

Before you travel, check visa rules on the official Tanzania e-Visa portal and learn about the parks on the Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA) website.
