Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your Ndovu African Expeditions Limited representative and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the chance to relax and prepare for the adventure of a lifetime.
Arusha, nestled at the foothills of Mt. Meru (Africa’s 5th highest mountain), enjoys a lush, green environment and a comfortable climate for much of the year. Known as the safari capital of Tanzania, its vibrant streets and surrounding villages offer a rich cultural experience, from coffee plantations to local communities.
Accommodation: Grand Melia
Meals & Drinks: At own expense
After breakfast, your Ndovu African Expeditions Limited guide will collect you from your lodge and drive you to Tarangire National Park – your first safari destination. Named after the Tarangire River, this park becomes a lifeline for wildlife during the dry season.
Famous for its vast elephant herds, over 500 bird species, and iconic baobab trees (known as the “Tree of Life”), Tarangire offers an authentic introduction to Tanzania’s wilderness. Lunch will be served at a picnic site inside the park before you proceed to your luxury lodge in Karatu.
Accommodation: Acacia Farm Lodge
Meals & Drinks: All meals included (premium wines & liquors may be excluded)
After breakfast, you’ll head into the cooler highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
From the rim, the Ngorongoro Crater looks like a forgotten world: sweeping savannah, acacia woodlands, lakes, and swamps hidden within volcanic walls.
Formed millions of years ago, this UNESCO World Heritage Site covers 260 km² and shelters some of Africa’s densest populations of large mammals. Expect to see wildebeest, zebra, gazelles, and possibly the endangered black rhino. Picnic lunch will be enjoyed on the crater floor before returning to your luxury accommodation in Karatu.
Accommodation: Acacia Farm Lodge
Meals & Drinks: All meals included (premium wines & liquors may be excluded)
After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Although compact, this park is rich in beauty and wildlife. Nestled along the Great Rift Valley Escarpment, the shallow alkaline lake attracts flamingos and other waterbirds, while the forest shelters elephants, baboons, and the legendary tree-climbing lions.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before your final game drive. In the afternoon, you will bid farewell to your guide and be transferred to your preferred location in Arusha or the airport (Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport).
Meals & Drinks: Breakfast & Lunch (drinks not included)
