Day 1:
Arrival in Arusha
You will be picked up from the airport by a NDOVU African Expeditions representative and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax and prepare for your adventure. Arusha is bustling, full of culture, and a must-see gateway to northern Tanzania safari life.

Day 2:
Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, your NDOVU Safari Guide will collect you for a scenic 2.5-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, named after the Tarangire River – the “river of warthogs” and essential water source during dry season. Here, you’ll spot elephant families, giraffe, bushbuck, hartebeest, and predators like lions and leopards. Tarangire is also a bird lover’s paradise with more breeding species than anywhere else on Earth. Marvel at the ancient Baobab trees, some over 1,000 years old.

Day 3:
Ngorongoro Crater → Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, drive into the cooler Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Crater, a collapsed volcano covering 260 km², is a pristine wilderness with savannahs, acacia woodlands, lakes, and swamps. See wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and over 500 bird species. Spot endangered black rhinos if luck is on your side! Later, drive through Ngorongoro Conservation Area into the southern Serengeti.

Day 4:
Serengeti National Park → Karatu Town
The Serengeti is breathtaking with vast grasslands and abundant wildlife. Experience the Great Migration of wildebeest, zebra, and antelope. Predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards may be spotted. In the afternoon, journey back to Karatu, enjoying scenic landscapes along the way.

Day 5:
Lake Manyara National Park → Arusha City
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a compact yet diverse park. Spot flamingos, baboons, elephants, and the famous tree-climbing lions. Lunch: Picnic in the park.
After the game drive, you will be dropped at your preferred location (Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport).
